REPORT OF THE INSTITUTIONAL VISIT AT SIEMAT- KERALA


INTRODUCTION

As a part of  M. Ed curriculum, 1ST year M. Ed   students of Mar Theophilus Training college went for a two day institutional visit. According to the curriculum institutional visit was supposed to be for five days, but due to pandemic situation it was reduced to two days. We went to SIEMAT  Trivandrum for this purpose. All the M.Ed. students as well as our faculties went there on 17/03/2021(Thursday) to 18/03/2021(Friday)..Institutional Visits are visits to governmental or non-governmental organizations, public administrations, private institutions, universities or other higher education institutions, where the main purpose of the event is the visit itself. The students  are expected to make a detailed study regarding organization, objective, administration, hierarchy, functions, strengths/weaknesses, output, social obligation, best and innovative practices etc and to prepare a detailed report. District level institutions like DIET, SSA district/state offices, SCERT, SIEMAT, IMG, BRC, Adult and Non formal Education dist/State mechanisms, College with NAAC accreditation/Autonomous colleges, Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi, Reputed social organizations like Mithraniketan and the like can be selected for students’ attachment.

     The smooth functioning of this institutional visit our faculties divided in the students in the each group   each group and assigned  duties and responsibilities.
